Resource Assistants help the Forest Service accomplish mission-critical work as they work to attract and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce. The Resource Assistant's Program is designed for emerging professionals to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. RA's will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills. Location: Region 4 | Salmon-Challis National Forest, North Fork Ranger Station |11 Casey Rd, North Fork Idaho, ID
Additionally, all positions are a 1099 position. Persons paid on a 1099 basis are independent contractors and are self-employed.
Independent contractors are required to pay all self-employment taxes (Social Security & Medicare) as well as income tax. Independent contractors generally do not receive any type of employment benefits from the client.
