The National Grain and Feed Foundation (NGFF) looks forward to supporting MANRRS student members who are engaged in undergraduate or graduate studies in agriculture science, agriculture economics, agriculture communications, agriculture education, environmental science, plant and soil science or a closely related field. NGFF will provide three competitive scholarships and the opportunity to meet with hundreds of agricultural business leaders. NGFF, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is maintained by the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), which represents more than 1,000 companies that operate and support facilities handling U.S. grains and oilseeds. NGFA’s wide-ranging membership is responsible for transforming the American farmer’s bounty into safe, nutritious, sustainable and affordable human and animal food. Founded in 1896, NGFA has been proud to represent and provide services for grain, feed and related commercial businesses for 125 years.
 
 
Eligibility Requirements:


Student must be a MANRRS member in good standing with the local chapter and on the national level pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

 

Scholarship and Travel Awards:
 
Three scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded during the academic year. The scholarship for each of the three recipients will be renewable for up to one additional year if eligibility requirements are met.
One annual scholarship will be reserved for eligible graduate students. If an eligible graduate student does not apply, all three scholarships will be awarded to eligible undergraduate applicants.
 
 
Recipients also are invited during their initial year of the scholarship to attend the NGFA’s annual convention, which attracts more than 600 agricultural company leaders to a top-tier U.S. destination each year to discuss the most important issues facing the industry. NGFA will provide complimentary convention registration and hotel/resort accommodations to scholarship recipients. Travel stipend to be provided by NGFF. MANNRS scholarship recipients from the relevant year will attend the conference as a group and participate together in networking activities, including dedicated time with NGFA’s Committee Apprentice Program members. Senior mentors from the NGFA will assist MANRRS scholarship recipients and provide access to leaders of major U.S. agriculture companies, all NGFA convention sessions and open NGFA committee meetings.
